Purpose

Traditionally, tutoring was something for students who struggled with learning.  While this belief may still be true, there are many different reasons why private instruction is beneficial.  Below are examples of reasons my past students sought my services:

  • Bored in class and wanted an additional challenge
  • Loved math and wanted a fun Math Club to do with friends
  • Struggled in most subjects, but enjoyed math.  Wanted to focus on something he was good at since most of the school day focused on subjects that were difficult.
  • Additional reading and math practice to prepare for acceptance into particular private school
  • Low self-confidence in math
  •  Below grade level in math and reading
  •  Loss of interest in math
  •  Accepted into Talented & Gifted program, but needed to learn two grade levels of math in a short period of time
